Illustration Friday : "Hats"

This is my submitted illustration for the topic of "Hats" on illustrationfriday.com.
9" x 9" ink on bristol - took about 6 hours

Another damn blog?

Originally I started this blog so I had a place to post my submissions to IllustrationFriday.com topics and so people can easily post comments if they want to. I wanted to keep it separate from my personal site as I don't currently have the ability to post comments on my site.

What I've quickly realized is that I'm much more interested in drawing my own subjects rather than those that are suggested. Granted as an illustrator it is good to problem solve when presented with a particular topic. But I'm not in a position where I really need to do that. So I'm not going to.
